are well informed. The Certified Public Secretaries (CPS) qualification
offers you an opportunity to study a wide range of subjects which
will be useful in your life.
Indeed the breadth of the CPS qualification
opens up many opportunities in terms of jobs and further post qualification
education. It also gives one professional competence to perform
in various managerial and administrative positions.
WHO IS A CERTIFIED PUBLIC SECRETARY?
A Certified Public secretary is a
person who has undertaken and passed the Kenya Administration and
Management Examination (KAME) and or final Certified Public Secretaries
(CPS) examinations conducted by the Kenya Accountants and Secretaries
National Examination Board (KASNEB).
On attainment of the Final CPS Certificate
from KASNEB the graduate applies to be registered by the Registration
of Certified Public Secretaries Board (RCPSB), a statutory body
under the Ministry of Finance. Registration is on the basis of relevant
experience and qualifications recognized under the section 20 of
the Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya Act (Cap 534), Laws of
Kenya.
On the registration they are obligated
to join the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (ICPSK)
whose membership is by contribution.
